Nursery is nearly completed

Nursery Thumbnail Painting the nursery took a little longer then I thought it was going to take, but I think it turned out great. Even though we are having a little girl, I couldn’t do pink. I went with what Chris has starting calling ‘my color’; a type of periwinkle. The wall with the window is a bluish-purple color. Hummngbird ThumbnailThe painting took a little longer because I kept adding things....

...Also I had to make my own stencils; I couldn’t find any Celtic knot work that I liked for the dresser and for the sun. And then after I painted the sun and the clouds I thought, ‘well, hey, we need some flowers along the base board’. And then after the flowers I said to Chris, “we need some bees and butterflies”. And of course you have to add in the humming birds and dragonflies. But as you can see it is coming along very nicely, we just need a few more things and the room will be 100% ready for ‘Mini-me’. Chris and I took a while to choose the furniture. We were having a hard time deciding on what type of wood to go with. But after careful consideration we finally agreed on cherry. The hardest part, actually was agreeing on the style of crib to go on. I think we chose well, we went with what is called a ‘life-time’ crib. It goes from crib, to toddler bed to a frame for full-bed all in one. So this will hopefully last a ‘life-time’. We are very please and very happy with how the furniture for the nursery has turned out. Now if we could just decide on a glider……

WOW! The nursery is AWESOME! Chalase, I'm SO impressed with your creativity and artistry! Looks like you've had this little "Eden" in your head for a loooong time! Periwinkle is also one of my very favorite colors!
Congrats again on Ellen's arrival!
