Ellen rolls over!
Holy smokes! Ellen rolled over from her tummy to her back today! Ellen was getting in some "tummy time" hanging out in the living room when Chalase noticed she was pushing herself up with her arms and holding her head up very high. Then all of a sudden, bam! She rolled over! Knowing I would be skepticle, she grabbed the camera and started shooting video. And what do you know, she did it again! Sweet! On video even!

Anyway, you gotta check this out....it's neat. Link

Welcome to spots-n-rotts.com!
Saturday, 12 June 2004

Welcome to spots-n-rotts.com, home to Chris & Chalase Peddicord, Kay-lar (the spot) and Connor and Cora (the rotts). This site is just a little spot on the web and a place to share news and photos and highlight some of our favorite things.

It is also the best place to learn about Connor (Neu-Rodes Gime The Prize). Connor has had some amazing accomplishments and we will proudly update his accomplishments and those of his puppies.

This site went through a complete overhaul in December 2005. If you like the new Joomla based approach, please drop me a line and express your approval.

Ellen's First Doctor Visit
Sunday, 30 April 2006
Image Ellen enjoyed her first doctor visit today. Our Pediatrician suggests that all babies have an initial visit within 3 days of leaving the hospital to ensure the baby is healthy and to answer any questions new parents might have.

So....we fumbled Ellen into the car seat (first time since leaving the hospital) and headed to Partners in Pediatrics.

After visiting with the doc our suspicions were confirmed.....she's perfect! Actually, she is perfectly healthy, happy, normal and beautiful. Just as we've known since day 1. Anyway, I suppose it gives is a pretty good reason to post some more pictures...

Ellen Comes Home
Thursday, 27 April 2006
Image Today was an exciting day! Ellen and Chalase were able to leave the hospital and come home! Actually, to be honest, it was both exciting and a little bit scary. After all, there's no more secure feeling than having your baby in a hospital full of health care professionals. If anything goes wrong they're just a touch of a button away. But, everything has been going so well, so it was definitely time to go.

Marty Leggett for helping us put on an outstanding foundation.

Connor Protection Tournament
Saturday, 20 May 2006
Image Connor pulled out a big win in the Protection Tournament at the 2006 USRC NC Regional Sieger show this weekend hosted by the Minnesota Woking Rottweiler Association in Lake Elmo, MN.

Although the old guys were clearly the sentimental favorites such as Angeli's Calvin, who showed his enormour heart, Connor just didn't have any major mistakes and walked away with the most points. Connor's performance was definitely not his best, and as a team we made numerous small mistakes that were just a little sloppy. However, we walked away with 92 points; enough for the win and a beautiful trophy!

Here's a bigger pic.....

Nursery is nearly completed
Saturday, 22 April 2006

Nursery Thumbnail Painting the nursery took a little longer then I thought it was going to take, but I think it turned out great. Even though we are having a little girl, I couldn’t do pink. I went with what Chris has starting calling ‘my color’; a type of periwinkle. The wall with the window is a bluish-purple color. Hummngbird ThumbnailThe painting took a little longer because I kept adding things....
